To provide a technology of enhancing durability at a high temperature in summer and skid resistance, in an elastic pavement material concurrently using an EVA as a thermoplastic binder and asphalt.

This elastic pavement material contains: an asphalt-based binder containing asphalt and an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer; rubber chips and/or rubber powder; and an aggregate. The elastic pavement material contains foamed and solidified silica sand which is composed of particulate silica sand and a urethane binder. Preferably, the particle diameter of the foamed and solidified silica sand is in a range of 3-10 mm, and the average particle diameter of the particulate silica sand for use is in a range of about 10-500 m.
