Abstract:

To provide an elastic paving material which prevents the deterioration of workability by lowering the viscosity at 180°C of a binder and can secure paving strength in the elastic paving material using an EVA-containing asphalt binder.

The elastic paving material comprises an asphalt based binder containing asphalt and an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA), a rubber chip and/or a rubber powder, and aggregate. As the EVA, at least one high viscosity EVA having a melting viscosity at 180°C of 5×105mPa s or more and at least one low viscosity EVA having a melting viscosity at 180°C of 1×105mPa s or less are simultaneously used.
