To provide an electric blower having high blower performance and reliability in which a bearing of a blushless motor is cooled by a small configuration having low pressure loss at high speed rotation, and to provide a vacuum cleaner using the same.
The electric blower includes: the blushless motor; an impeller 8 fixed to a rotary shaft 2; an air guide 9a forming a ventilation passage on an outer periphery of the impeller 8; and a fan case 10 covering the impeller 8 and fixed on a front face of the air guide 9a. The air guide 9a is formed by a thermal conductive circular member 11a arranged in the center being inserted and molded while the circular member sticks to a resin member 12a therearound. In the air guide 9a, the circular member 11a is fixed to a motor frame 6 while being press-fit to a bearing holding part 13 projecting on a front face of the motor frame 6. As a result, heat generated in the bearing 5 is conducted to a cooling part of the air guide 9a through the circular member (circular member) 11a to continuously radiate, and the bearing can be effectively cooled.
