Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for including a parking brake function in a distributed brake device for an automobile.
SOLUTION: An electric brake device for an automobile includes a control unit (10) detecting the operation of a normal brake control element, thereby determining at least one brake request for brake control and outputting at least one set value to a control unit (12), 14, 16, 18, 22) for wheel brake control. The control unit (10) further detects a parking brake control element, thereby determining the driver's parking brake request, and coupling the parking brake request to the brake request for a normal brake in order to form an entire brake request.
