To shorten a distance between a flange and a partition wall while a sliding bearing capable of mounting on the flange is intervened between the flange and the partition wall in an electric brake device for a vehicle, wherein a cylinder hole and a storage recessed section are coaxially arranged on a caliper body so as to be mutually opened on an opposite side while the partition wall is intervened between the cylinder hole and the recessed section and a rotary shaft of a motion conversion mechanism for converting the rotation of the rotary shaft into an axial movement operation of a brake piston is coaxially arranged to an output member of a reduction gear while rotatably penetrating the partition wall, and a sliding bearing is intervened between the flange integrated with the rotary shaft and opposed to the partition wall and the partition wall.
In the electric brake device for a vehicle, a fitting recessed section 56 is formed on a surface of the flange 45b opposite to the partition wall 36, and the flat sliding bearing 54 is fitted into the fitting recessed section 56.
