Title:
ELECTRIC CHARGE DISCHARGING CIRCUIT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3895579
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric charge discharging circuit that can discharge a remaining electric charge derived from a power source when a package substrate is taken way and prevent the wasteful consumption of electric power when the substrate is installed.
SOLUTION: In a package substrate protection circuit 10, a resistive element 22 and a PNP transistor 24 are connected with each other between a negative power source line 112 and a ground line 110. A voltage corresponding to floating state of positive and negative power source lines 108 and 112 at the central position 114 between the resistive elements 18 and 20 in series is applied to the base terminal of the PNP transistor 24, the PNP transistor 24 is brought into the state of conduction, the electric charge left in a capacitor 16 is discharged with the resistive element 22 in a loop circuit between the capacitor 16 and the resistive element 22, and the loop circuit is cut off by bringing the PNP transistor 24 into the state of non-conduction with the voltage corresponding to the power supply from the positive and negative power source lines 108 and 112, and the electric power consumption in the resistive element 22, when the substrate is installed, is controlled.
