Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a simple structure electric connector with shield in which the positioning and rotation blocking of a latch block, and the bending prevention and rotation blocking of a fixing clip are properly conducted. CONSTITUTION: A connector 10 is equipped with an insulation material-made insulator 12 supporting plural electric contacts having rectangular terminal pins which is soldered to a PC board. Further the same is equipped with a conductive shell 14 which is supported by the insulator and shields the contacts. Integral type die casting metal-made latch blocks 16 are arranged at both ends of the connector. The respective latch blocks are equipped with key elements which cooperating engaged with an insulator main body 22 for proper positioning and rotation blocking. Two conductive fixing clips 18 are used. The respective clips are supported by the insulator main body, and are electrically fixed to the conductive shell so as to form a grounding route there. The respective fixing clips are equipped with bending resistant elements against the bending of the clips in the case of assembling to a PC board. Thereby, the proper fitting and fixing to the PC board becomes possible.
