Abstract:
To provide an electric drill having a function to prevent the drilling of an unexpected oblique hole in which, when the direction of drilling is displaced in drilling a workpiece using the electric drill, the displacement is sensed automatically to stop the drilling.
An electric drill 1 for drilling in a direction perpendicular to a workpiece 7 has a tilt sensor 10 mounted to a tilt sensor mounting surface 8 defined in parallel to the ground surface. When the rotation axis C of the drill positioned perpendicular to the surface of the workpiece is tilted at a specified angle or larger, the tilt sensor 10 senses the tilt to shutoff a drive current of the electric drill.
