An unused state detection unit 5a detects an unused state of a main functional part 4 of electric equipment 1. A clocking unit 5b detects that an unused state continuation time has exceeded a prescribed clocking time C. A power supply control unit 5c stops power supply from a power supply unit 3 to the main functional part 4 when an unused state continuation time has exceeded the prescribed clocking time C. A clocking time setting unit 5d, when the internal enclosure temperature of the electric equipment 1 is high, sets the prescribed clocking time C to become short according to the output of an internal enclosure temperature detection unit 1a or based on the output of a plurality of internal enclosure temperature related information detection units 1b.
