Title:
ELECTRIC FAN
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS62210290
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve efficiency as well as making it possible to realize comfortable temperature environment by providing an air flow direction control mechanism with an infrared temperature sensor for detecting infrared rays radiated from an object existing in the direction of air flow and controlling the main body of an electric fan according to the output of the sensor.

CONSTITUTION: Driving a fan motor 9, a signal from a position sensor 18 when an electric fan comes to a position of about 60° begins starting action of an electric fan. By turning a swivel motor 8 at a constant speed counterclockwise, the fan is turned to a position of about -60°. Here, at a predetermined position, an amplified signal from an infrared sensor 20 and a signal from a thermistor 24 are converted into digital signals through an AD converter 25 and inputted to a CPU 30. In the CPU 30, temperature around the position sensor 18 detected with the thermistor 24 and a signal from the infrared sensor 20 are converted into a temperature of a measured object and stored in a memory in the CPU corresponding to each position. Then automatic operation is started to perform swiveling movement according to a temperature data of each position stored in the memory in the CPU.
