To provide an electric motor surely sealable by the minimum seal material to prevent intrusion of foreign matter and liquid into a space inside the motor and an access space and to prevent leak from them.
This electric motor is provided with a motor housing 18 for surrounding the space 16 inside the motor and sealed by a cover 28 in one end surface of the motor, the access part 22 provided in the end surface of the motor to partition at least one access space 24 and sealed by the cover in the end surface of the motor, and a motor shaft 12 supported by a rolling bearing 20 in the end surface of the motor. In order to seal the space 16 inside the motor and the access space 24, the rolling bearing 20 has a seal disk 54 structured to seal in the axial direction of the rolling bearing 20, to seal a space between the rolling bearing 20 and the access part 22, and to seal a space between the access part 22 and the cover 28.
