PURPOSE: To provide an electric-pneumatic shed-forming device, concerning a shed-forming device especially applied to a sewing machine, usable for forming a wide seam such as a fabric belt and a wire belt, aiming the dehydration and drying of an endless delicate material, especially cooperating with the sewing machine having a jacquard head structure more efficient than the conventional one, and providing less obstacle.

CONSTITUTION: This shed-forming device has warps and pneumatically driven cylinders moved upper and lower in a limited stroke for forming the shed, and the pneumatically driven cylinders are arranged and fixed on plural plates or frames mutually in parallel to form one assembled block. Each of the pneumatically driven cylinder is driven by an air pressure in the reverse direction, and the stroke is regulated so as to be the same or the nearly same as the moving distance of the shed of the whole warps opened at the seam.
