To provide an electric power conversion system in an electric vehicle, which can detect short-circuit of a capacitor by a simple structure, even if a short-type capacitor is used.
An electric power conversion system 100 of an electrically-driven two-wheeled vehicle 10 according to the present invention includes: switching means 104 which is arranged between an inductor L connected on the side of a main battery 18 and a power line 102; the power line 102 which parallelly connects a first capacitor C1 and a second capacitor C2 with an electric power load R; and a controller 112 which performs an on-off control of the switching means 104. The first capacitor C1 and the second capacitor C2 are formed by using a small-sized capacitor which is short-circuited in a case of overvoltage. Detection means 106 serially connected with the first capacitor C1 and the second capacitor C2, is arranged to detect a state where the first capacitor C1 and the second capacitor C2 are short-circuited.
