PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively cool a power semiconductor of an electric power conversion system.SOLUTION: An electric power conversion system is equipped with: plural power semiconductor elements constituting a circuit of the electric power conversion system; plural first radiation fins; a first fin base which is a tabular component of which a surface on one side is connected to root parts of the plural first radiation fins and a surface on the other side is connected to the plural power semiconductor elements; and a fan which blasts air to the plural first radiation fins. The electric power conversion system is mounted on a railway vehicle and controls an electric motor which drives the railway vehicle. In the electric power conversion system, the plural first radiation fins are located in a direction in which a major heat transfer surface of the fin is substantially orthogonal to a direction of travel of the railway vehicle, a second fin base, which is a tabular component, is provided on tip sides of the plural first radiation fins, and a second radiation fin is provided on a face of the second fin base opposite to the first radiation fin. The second radiation fin is located in a direction in which a major heat transfer surface of the fin is substantially parallel to the direction of travel of the railway vehicle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
