Abstract:

To achieve reduction in size, weight and cost of an electric power-steering device.

An electric power-steering device 10 transmits torque generated by an electric motor 43 to a steering system via a reduction gear 44. A motor case 51 is mounted on a reduction gear case. An open end portion of the motor case, which is a side to be mounted to the reduction gear case, is closed by a lid 52. The lid rotatably supports a motor shaft 55 and has an electric wire insertion hole 52f for pulling out an electric wire 81 which supplies power to the electric motor from the inside of the motor case into the inside of the reduction gear case. The electric wire is pulled out to the outside through a wire pulling opening 64c provided in the reduction gear case.
