Abstract:

To provide an electric power storage device capable of detecting cell swelling without increasing cell resistance.SOLUTION: The electric power storage device includes: a cell in which a battery element is wrapped in an outer package; a conductive member that covers the sides of the cell; and a detection unit that electrically connects with a conductive member and detects the energized state of the conductive member by supplying current to the conductive member. The conductive member has a structure in which the conduction state of the conductive member changes due to the expansion of the cell.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
