Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine capable of more effectively eliminating an occurrence of oil leakage caused by a differential pressure.SOLUTION: A rotary electric machine of an oil lubrication structure comprises: a rolling bearing 16 supporting a rotary shaft 15 and a bearing case accommodating the rolling bearing therein; a first seal mechanism 19 and a second seal mechanism 29 for sealing a gap between the bearing case and the rotary shaft 15 in a non-contact manner; an oil supply path 18a opened inside the bearing case; a first drain 23 being an internal drain opened inside a bearing case C and a second drain 30 being a shaft end side drain opened on the second seal mechanism 29; a communication path 25 causing the first and second drains 23 and 30 to communicate with each other; and an oil discharge path 26 for discharging oil in the communication path 25. In a part of the communication path or the first and second drains 23 and 30, an oil reservoir part OA having a liquid level and cutting off direct circulation of air between the first and second drains 23 and 30 is formed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
