Abstract:

PURPOSE: To protect a user from electric shock in a spark-ignition oil burner even if a switch is on in the case where any finger and any hand make contact with an electric discharge electrode and an opposite electrode by mistake in the course of sweeping.
CONSTITUTION: An electric shock prevention structure of a spark ignition device is constructed as follows. There is provided in the vicinity of a combustion cylinder 4 an operation plate 5 which is responsive to removal of the combustion cylinder 4 and hereby makes contact with or is separated away from a conductor portion 2a of an electric discharge electrode 2, and when the combustion cylinder 4 is removed, the operation plate 5 makes contact with the conductor portion 2a of the electric discharge electrode 2 to be earthed.
