Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric supercharger output control device and an electric supercharger output control method capable of improving fuel economy of an internal combustion engine by increasing the use frequency of an electric supercharger.SOLUTION: An output control device of an electric supercharger 3 includes: a temperature detector 16 that detects a temperature of a battery pack 15 supplying electric power to the electric supercharger 3 or a peripheral temperature; a state-of-charge value acquisition unit 18 that acquires an SOC of the battery pack 15; and a control unit 20 that determines maximum output power of the battery pack 15 corresponding to the temperature of the battery pack 15 or peripheral temperature and the SOC, and that controls an output from the electric supercharger 3 so that the determined maximum output power is higher than power necessary to drive the electric supercharger 3.
