Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce electric wave reflection by an airplane fuselage without impairing its strength and rigidity.
CONSTITUTION: A plurality of pyramidal cells 1 whose surfaces do not form a right angle are furnished in contact with an outer plate, wherein adjoining cells 1 are joined at the ridge 2 in such an arrangement that their appex directions are opposite each other, and therefore, the incident electric wave is reflected by the surface of cell 1 in pyramidal form into the direction different from the incoming direction, which enables reducing the reflex wave to a great extent.
