PURPOSE: To provide an electrical equipment protector for compressor which can ensure complete water-tight sealing for electrical equipment.

CONSTITUTION: A groove 30 is cut in the attaching end surface 29 of a protective cover 27 to fit a string-shaped seal member 31 in the groove 30. The protective cover 27 is fitted in a compressor case 21 so that the string-shaped seal member 31 fitted in the groove 30 of the attaching end surface 29 may be pressed to be elastically-deformed and brought into close contact with the outer surface 23 of the compressor case 21. It is thus possible to carry out complete water-light sealing for power terminals 22 and electrical equipment such as an overload protection device.
