Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide an electrically conductive material having uniform, high electrical conductivity and excellent electromagnetic wave shielding properties, by exposing part of an electrically conductive material powder through the surface of a molding composed of a thermoplastic resin and the electrically conductive material powder.

CONSTITUTION: 5W90wt% electrically conductive material powder 2 (e.g. carbon black) is blended with a thermoplastic resin (e.g. PE) as a matrix. The mixture is injection-molded to obtain a molding having a volume resistance of 10-1Ω or below. The molding is dipped in a solvent (e.g. ethyl acetate) capable of dissolving the thermoplastic resin, whereby part of the electrically conductive powder 2 is exposed through the surface 3 of the molding.

EFFECT: Since the electrically conductive material powder is exposed through the surface of the molding, the gap between the powders can be shortened so that the electrical conductivity of the molding can be greatly improved.

USE: Electrically conductive material for electrical contacts.
