PURPOSE: To obtain a composition which gives moldings having good mechanical properties and electrical conductivity by incorporating an oxidized polycationic polyheteroaromatic compound or aniline and a polyanion of a sulfated alcohol group-containing thermoplastic polymer.
CONSTITUTION: A molding composition in the form of particles comprises (A) at least one oxidized polycationic polyhetero-aromatic compound [e.g. a pyrrole of formula I (wherein R1 and R2 are each H, 1-16C alkyl or alkoxy, or R1 and R2 join to form trimethylene or tetramethylene) or aniline and (B) at least one polyanion of a thermoplastic polymer having sulfated alcohol groups of formula II in recurring structural units. The moldings obtained from this molding composition have good mechanical properties such as high tensile and flexural strength and good toughness and high conductivity. This particulate molding composition is also suitable as an electrically conductive filler for plastics.
