PURPOSE: To provide an electrically conductive polyamide resin compsn. which is pale brown to pale purple, by incorporating CuI and KI in combination in a polyamide.
CONSTITUTION: A polyamide resin compsn. is obtd. by incorporating 20W60wt% CuI (A) and 10W50wt% KI(B) in a polyamide such as nylon 6, nylon 11 or nylon 66 in such an amount that the combined amount of A+B is 70wt% or below. By incorporating CuI and KI in combination, good electrical conductive performance can be exhibited. For example, a fiber obtd. from this compsn. twines around clothing, and dust can be prevented from being deposited. Unlike carbon black conventionally used for this purpose, this compsn. is pale brown to pale purple and does not deteriorate the appearance of products. This electrically conductive polyamide alone can be made into an electrically conductive fiber. By using it together with a conventional polyamide, the compsn. can be effectively utilized as an electrically conductive fiber.
