Abstract:
To provide a device for use in an electrochemical cell, that can be used both as the outside casing and the current collector of the electrochemical cell, and to provide a manufacturing method thereof.SOLUTION: An electrochemical cell and a manufacturing method of electrochemical cell are described. The device includes a multilayer sheet for storing an electrode material for the electrochemical cell. The multilayer sheet includes an outside layer, an intermediate layer having a conductive substrate, and an inside layer placed on a part of the conductive substrate. The intermediate layer is placed between the outside layer and the inside layer. The inside layer defines an opening for exposing the conductive region of the intermediate layer so that the electrode material can be connected electrically with the conductive region. Consequently, the intermediate layer can act as the current collector of the electrochemical cell.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
