Abstract:
To provide an electrochemical device and a manufacturing method thereof with low resistance of a conduction path and high output characteristics.SOLUTION: An electrochemical device according to the present invention includes a power storage element, a connection plate, a rupture disk, and an insulator. The power storage element has a plurality of lead plates electrically connected to a positive electrode or a negative electrode. The connection plate has a first main surface on the power storage element side and a second main surface opposite to the first main surface, and the plurality of stacked lead plates are welded to the first main surface. The rupture disk is connected to the second main surface of the connection plate. The insulator is in contact with a first region which is the outer peripheral area of the second main surface, and insulates the connection plate and the rupture disk. The plurality of lead plates are welded to a second region of the first main surface opposite to the first region.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 13
