To provide a satisfactory composition for practical use without loosing the high energy density by blending ion conductive polymer with conductive agent in an organic sulfur compound of a mono-mercaptan compound having a specified ratio of mercapto group as an active site.
An organic sulfur compound as a mono-mercaptan compound having 4-50 wt.% of mercapto group existing as an active site is used. As the organic sulfur compound having two or more mercaptor groups in a molecule, 2.5-di-mercapto-1,3,4,-thia-diazole, triazine thiol or the like is used. As an ion conductive high molecule, a material obtained by adding an alkali metal salt to polyethylene oxide, polypropylene oxide or the like is desirably used. As a conductive agent, conductive carbon powder such as acetylene black, ketchen black, furnace black is suitably used to impart electron conductivity to the electrode composition.
