Abstract:
To provide an electrode material in which enlargement due to aggregation of the electrode catalyst metal is suppressed and which has both excellent durability to the electrochemical oxidation due to an electron conductive oxide and excellent electron conductivity due to a carbon material.SOLUTION: An electrode material includes a carbon carrier and an electrode catalyst composite supported on the carbon carrier. The electrode catalyst composite is composed of the electrode catalyst metal and an electron conductive oxide. The electron conductive oxide is an electrode material existing between electrode catalyst metals. In particular, it is preferable that the carbon carrier is mesoporous carbon, and that a part or all of the electrode catalyst composite exist within pores of the mesoporous carbon.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
