Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: an electrolyte which is less in quantity of immixture of an impurity that mars a power generation performance, and which enables the construction of a solid oxide fuel cell superior in power generation performance; and a solid oxide fuel cell single cell having the electrolyte.SOLUTION: An electrolyte according to the present invention is arranged for a solid oxide fuel cell. The electrolyte is characterized in a Si 2p peak is detected according to X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy on only at least one surface subjected to no etching, or only a surface etched to a depth of over 0 nm up to 10 nm from at least one surface on a SiObasis.SELECTED DRAWING: None
