Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an electromagnetic clutch in which noise at the time of clutch action can be further reduced.
CONSTITUTION: An electromagnetic clutch comprises a contact piece 40 installed on a driven hub 30 on the driven side through a plate spring 33 to be attracted to a contact surface 26 of a rotor when an exciting coil 22 disposed on the rotor side on the drive side is energized. This contact 40 comprises an embossed part 43, so it is fixed to the plate spring 33 by caulking the embossed part, and a width of a ring part of the contact 40 is set to be almost similar to a width of the contact surface 26 of the rotor.
