Title:
電磁放射デカップラー
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP5148487
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
An RF tag 24 is mounted on a radiation decoupler that isolates the tag from the effect of an object that it is mounted upon. The decoupler comprises a dielectric layer 25 sandwiched between two conducting layers 21, 23. Conducting layer 21 is absent from a portion 22 of the dielectric layer, forming for example a slit 22. RF tag 24 is mounted so that its chip lies over the centre of slit 22. A spacer 26, bonding adhesive layer 25 and sensitising layer 27 may also be included. The slit is dimensioned according to the wavelength of the interrogating radiation used with the tag, but is generally of sub-wavelength dimensions. The decoupler is particularly useful when the RFID tag must be mounted on a metal object. The lower conductor layer 23 may be omitted in this case. Alternatively, decoupling can be achieved by mounting the RF tag orthogonally to the edge of a metal clad circuit board.
