The electromagnetic shielding material 1 is obtained by winding a flexible stripe body 3 provided with an electromagnetic shielding layer in a substrate or on the inner surface side thereof substantially tubularly such that the longitudinal direction coincides with the axial direction, and wires 2 are contained in its internal space S. On the outer surface side of the substrate in the stripe body 3, a plurality of grooves 15 are formed along the longitudinal direction and protrusions 16 between these grooves 15 serve as reinforcement ribs.
