PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device, which can obtain the image of high quality with the arrangement of picture elements at a high density, by using an electron source base plate, in which the generation of short-circuiting of an element electrode is prevented at the time of wiring to improve the reliability of an electrical connection part.
SOLUTION: Element electrodes 11, 12 are formed on a board, which is previously washed, by printing or the like. The wiring 13 of a first layer is formed by the thick film printing, and furthermore, a layer-to-layer insulating film 14 of the first layer is formed so as to cross the wiring 13. A layer-to-layer insulating film 15 of a second layer 15 is formed on the layer-to-layer insulating film 14 of the first layer so as to secure the insulating performance. The wiring 16 of a second layer is formed in an area between two ladder-shaped Y-directional patterns of the layer-to-layer insulating film 14 of the first layer through the layer-to-layer insulating film 15 of the second layer. Furthermore, connection of an element electrode 11 and the wiring 16 thereof is performed at the same time with the forming of the wiring 16 of the second layer. Finally, a film 17 of an electron emitting part is formed, and an electron emitting element for electron source is completed.
