To provide an electronic apparatus capable of driving and controlling a cooling fan in response to the kind of an air filter.
A projector 1 as the electronic apparatus has the cooling fans 13A, a fan controller 14A driving and controlling the cooling fans 13A and an outer box. Suction ports for introducing the outside air of the outer box by the cooling fans 13A by a plurality of kinds of each detachably constituted air filter are formed to the outer box. The fan controller 14A has a fan-control information storage means 146A for storing a plurality of fan-control informations for driving, and controlling the cooling fans 13A corresponding to the kinds of the air filters; and a kind recognizing means 145A for recognizing the kinds of the air filters fitted to the suction ports. The fan controller 14A further has a driving control means 145B for driving and controlling the cooling fans 13A on the basis of the fan-control informations corresponding to the kinds of the air filters recognized by the kind recognizing means 145A.
