To start an electronic apparatus by using a touch screen display.
An electronic apparatus having a normal state and a power-saving state in which power consumption is lower than that of the normal state comprises: a power management section for performing power management of the electronic apparatus corresponding to the normal state and the power-saving state; a touch screen display; a processor for mainly executing a first program and one of one or more other programs; request means for requesting the power management section to bring the electronic apparatus into the normal state in a case where the touch screen display detects simultaneous touches to a plurality of positions when the electronic apparatus is in the power-saving state; and control means that starts the first program and causes the processor to mainly execute the first program in a case where the electronic apparatus is brought into the normal state and a number of touch positions detected corresponds to the first program.
