Abstract:
To automatically detect contamination on a screen of an electronic appliance and to inform a user thereof.
The electronic appliance has: an optical sensor-equipped LCD 30 ; an input detection part 110 for detecting contamination (for example, fingerprints or dusts) on a screen of the optical sensor-equipped LCD 30; and a display control part 120 for controlling display on the optical sensor-equipped LCD 30. The display control unit 120 causes the optical sensor-equipped LCD 30 to display a message notifying that there is contamination to the optical sensor-equipped LCD 30 when the dirt is detected. The display control unit 120 causes the optical sensor-equipped LCD 30 to display a predetermined image showing an area of the contamination.
