PURPOSE: To improve the accuracy of a time display and to utilize the space of display effectively, by displaying hours and minutes electrooptically in the form of indicators, by canceling the analog indicator display partially by the selection of a switch, and by enabling thereby the digital display of a time as well.

CONSTITUTION: This clock is devised to enable the single indication by analog indicators, and the digital time display by segment display which is enabled by canceling the bases of the analog indicators and the vicinity thereof within a line L1 after the selection of a switch. The signal of a reference signal generating source 1 is subjected to frequency division by a frequency dividing circuit 2 and sent to a time-counting counter 3. The output of the counter 3 is inputted in and decoded by a decoder 4 for digital display and a decoder 7 for analog indication, and the segment electrodes DS and AS of a digital display unit 11 and an analog indication unit 12 in which the respective decoded outputs are inputted are driven for display. The digital display unit 11 and the analog indication unit 12 are operated for display when the segment electrodes and common electrodes opposite thereto are selected and driven together for display. An FF8 conducts an invert operation every time when a trigger signal is inputted.
