PURPOSE: To make it possible to prevent electronic components from being displaced by pivot-supporting multiple nozzles for vacuum sucking vertically movably against a lower head and attaching vacuum sucking pads on the lower ends of the nozzles.
CONSTITUTION: By means of a robot, a hand 54 is lowered and stopped right above the sucking position of an electronic component 33 within a jig 43, a rod of a cylinder 40 is pushed out, and the movement of a lower head 24 due to springs 23 and 39 is stopped. When the lowering is finished, and vacuum 31 is produced by means of a nipple 28, each sucking pad 27 aligns itself with the top surface 34 of the electronic component 33 and sucks it. Accordingly, a nozzle 25 ascends by a distance corresponding to the deflection of a spring 26. Here, if there is difference in height of the top surface 34, travel of each nozzle 25 differs and the nozzle 25 is locked by a piston 29 under the condition of height difference. As a result, a lead bottom surface 49 of the electronic component 33 can be suspended in parallel with a reference surface 55.
