PURPOSE: To avoid unconnected communication due to mismatch of communication parameters by setting the communication parameters automatically.
CONSTITUTION: A host computor 13 delivers communication parameter request information A from a communication parameter request deciding section 18 through a communication control section 14 to a mounting machine 11. The mounting machine 11 then makes a decision whether the request information A, received from the host computor 13 through a communication control section 12, is acceptable or not and requested communication parameters are set at a communication parameter setting section 16 if the request information A is acceptable. Upon receiving acceptance acknowledgment information B from the mounting machine 11 through the communication control section 14, requested communication parameters are set at a communication parameter setting section 19. When the parameters can not be set as requested or when communication can not be completed, communication parameter reset sections 17, 20 reset the communication parameters.
