Abstract:
To ensure security in an electronic control unit and also to shorten a time to be required for delivery of keys from a master electronic control unit to slave electronic control units and for verification of the keys.SOLUTION: A slave electronic control unit for a vehicle connected to a master electronic control unit and the other slave electronic control unit via a communication network includes: a storage section 111 for storing a first common key shared with the master electronic control unit and a second common key shared with the master electronic control unit and the other slave electronic control unit; a reception section 121 for receiving first data obtained by encrypting key information with the use of the first common key from the master electronic control unit; control sections 131, 141 for decoding the first data with the use of the first common key and also encrypting key information to be obtained by decoding the first data with the use of the second common key so as to generate second data; and a transmission section 151 for transmitting the second data to the master electronic control unit and the other slave electronic control unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
