Abstract:

To solve the problems of warranty wherein stipulations are easy to alter, allowing some people to deliberately alter warranty periods to repair or replace electronic devices and wherein a purchaser could lose the warranty or forget where it was stored because of long warranty periods, usually one to three years, making it impossible for the purchaser to ensure what the warranty guarantees, such as warranty period, information on the distributor, etc.

This electronic device stores warranty information, purchaser information, and authentication information, and displays part or the whole of the warranty information and/or part or the whole of the purchaser information and/or part or the whole of the authentication information when accepting an output command. The purchaser can confirm the warranty information or the like when necessary. When requesting repair of the electronic device because of trouble or the like, the purchaser can receive warranty using the warranty information or the like incorporated in the electronic device.
