Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the electronic endoscope which can improve the insertability by shortening the tip part, and also, thinning the outside diameter of the inserting part.
CONSTITUTION: In the tip part 11 of the electronic endoscope, an image pickup unit 20 for containing a solid-state image pickup element 38 is provided in the inside, and also, it is necessary to insert through light guides 36, 36 for illumination. A unit cover 42 of the image pickup unit 20 is connected and provided in the rear end part of a cylindrical part 42a of the tip side, a notch forming part 42b of a partially notched shape is formed, and in the notched part of this notch forming part 42b, a spatial allowance for inserting through the light guides 36, 36 along the notch forming part 42b of the unit cover 42 is formed. Accordingly, the light guides 36, 36 are inserted through by utilizing a space formed in the vicinity of the notch forming part 42b.
