Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic image photographing device which is made small by incorporating two photographing means into one camera main body and using a common optical system of both the means and in which the two photographing means can record images whose photographing area and whose focal state are the same.
SOLUTION: The image pickup device consists of an image forming plane 3 on which a photographed image by a photographing lens 1 is formed, a linear prism 4 that reflects a part of a luminous flux 2 reaching the image forming plane 3 from the photographing lens 1 in a direction nearly in parallel with the image forming plane 3, a linear CCD element 5 that forms an electronic image from the luminous flux reflected in the prism 4, and a moving means 6 that moves the prism 4 and the CCD element 5 nearly in parallel with the image forming plane 3. Then the optical distance from the photographing lens 1 to the CCD element 5 via the prism 4 is made equal to an optical distance from the photographing lens 1 to the image forming plane 3 to obtain images whose photographing area and focusing state are identical from the image forming plane 3 and the CCD element 5.
