To configure the recorder with a minimum volume by optimizing the layout of electronic printed circuit boards and optical system components such as a photographing lens and to use the structural members of the recorder to shield the printed circuit boards.

A shield structure is adopted for a memory card connector 28 and a liquid crystal display LCD unit 32 are structural components of an electronics still camera 10. A power supply board 26, the memory card connector 28, a digital board 30 and the LCD unit 32 are placed in this order behind an analog board 20. Then an optical unit 14 is placed in a direction orthogonal to the electronic printed circuit boards so that a signal wire 38 through which an output of a CCD 36 is led to the analog board 20 is not wired in parallel with the electronic printed circuit boards such as the digital board 30. Furthermore, a metal-made casing 12, the memory card connector 28 and the LCD unit 32 are connected to strengthen the ground (GND).
