Title:
ELECTRONIC MONEY SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH1196271
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to exchange electronic money(EM) with normal cash and to allow the EM to be generally accepted by setting the validity of an electronic symbol(ES) of money having a higher money value longer than that of an ES having a lower money value. SOLUTION: The EM system is executed by three money modules(MMs), i.e., a transaction MM 4, a teller MM 5 and a money generator MM 6, having three sorts of functions consisting of the generation, storage and transfer of an ES substituting an economical value. Namely the system is provided with the money generator MMs 6 each of which generates an ES of money having a money value and an expiration date providing validity and the transaction MMs 4 each of which stores the ES and transfers the ES to the other transaction MM 4. The validity of an ES having a higher money value is set up longer than that of an ES having a lower money value. It is preferable to transfer an ES of which validity has elapsed to the MM 5 without being transferred to the other transaction MM 4.
