Abstract:

To provide an electronic musical instrument toy by reading out sound data from a second storing portion storing sound data corresponding to sounds corresponding to a music progression, and outputting a sound corresponding to the sound data every operation of an operating piece.

When one of three keys 3a-3c similar to a keyboard is pressed, a music corresponding to a pressed key automatically performs. During this automatic performance, a key corresponding to the automatically performed music shines red responsive to the melody. While the music is performed, a hit portion 4a of a percussion instrument 4 is hit to output a percussion instrument sound. As the percussion instrument sound, 'drum sound', 'cymbals sound', and 'applause sound' are prepared. When one of strings 5a, 5b is played during the music performance, a sound of string instrument and corresponding (adequate) to the progression of the performed music is outputted as the string instrument sound. For difference between the strings 5a, 5b, for example, the string 5a carries low-pitched sound and the string 5b carries high-pitched sound.
