Title:
ELECTRONIC PARTS INSERTER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3130820
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parts inserter having a function for detecting jamming of a lead wire in a die by making a decision that an abnormality has occurred when a lead wire detection signal outputted from a detecting section sustains for longer than a predetermined time.
SOLUTION: When the forward end part of a lead wire touches a sensor 23 built in the hole 21 of a die 20, the sensor 23 is conducted electrically to deliver an electric signal to a control section 40. The control section 40 determines the inserted state of parts based on the duration of a signal received from the sensor 23. When the duration is equal to a predetermined time, a decision is made that the parts are inserted normally and a board is shifted to next part inserting position thus continuing the parts inserting operation. When the duration is longer than the predetermined time, a decision is made that the hole 21 of the die 20 is choked with a chip of lead wire, or the like and a signal for interrupting the operation of the parts inserter is delivered from the control section 40.
