To provide an electronic sphygmomanometer highly accurately performing personal authentication.
This electronic sphygmomanometer for measuring blood pressure of a subject includes: a detection section 81 for detecting Korotkoff sound of the subject; an authentication section 82 performing the personal authentication based on waveform data of the detected Korotkoff sound; and a processing section 83 processing the data based on the result of the personal authentication. When succeeded in the personal authentication, the processing section allows a storage device to store the measured blood pressure as a personal blood pressure authenticated by the personal authentication, reads information related to the personal blood pressure authenticated by the personal authentication from the storage device and displays the read information on a display device.
