Since the tip 22a of the folded section 22 of the tab 20 is sandwiched between the protective film 19 and the polarizer plate 18, a small gap (air layer) 28 is formed being surrounded by the tip 22a, the protective film 19, and the polarizer plate 18 at this position. The protective film 19 and the polarizer plate 18 can be prevented from firmly adhering to each other by forming the air layer 28. When pulling the tab 20 to peel the protective film 19, the protective film 19 is separated from the polarizer plate 18 starting from this air layer 28 and not applied with a force larger than the adhesion strength of the tab 20. Thus, the protective film 19 can be easily peeled off without peeling off the tab 20 from the protective film 19.
