Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve stability of electric charge of a photoconductive layer of an electrophotographic sensitive body by incorporating a specified trisazo dye and hydroquinone (or its deriv.) into the photoconductive layer. CONSTITUTION:A trisazo dye expressed by formula I and hydroquinone (or its deriv.) are contained in a photoconductive layer. In formula, A is a group expressed by formula II or III, etc.; X is a specified aromatic ring, heterocyclic ring; Ar1 is a specified aromatic ring or heterocyclic ring; Ar2 is a specified aromatic ring; R1 is H, lower alkyl group, etc.; R2 is a lower alkyl group or a carboxyl group, etc. The photosensitive body is formed by coating an electroconductive substrate with said photoconductive layer, and an intermediate layer may be, if necessary, formed between the substrate and the photoconductive layer. Moreover, the photoconductive layer can be formed with a single layer constitution or multilayer constitution.
